The basic design and layout was done in Photoshop and then saved via Image Ready to get rollovers. Text and photographs are added in Dreamweaver and, as the javascript from Image Ready is not very compatible it was all stripped out and replaced with Dreamweaver code. As good as WYSIWYG editors are they do produce odd results on occasion and there is no substitute for good, old fashioned, hand coding which is done in Homesite. Style sheets are used extensively so that site wide changes are easy and different designs can be checked, for this I use Top Style. All of the photographs are catalogued with IMatch which is not well known but is an incredible piece of software that everyone who has a few hundred photos or more should have (click here for details).
